Issue 110: Why We Need Live Music
Jun 14, 2015 11:56AM ● By Grace Drescher
In this issue; we interview local musical artists; promoters and venue owners; asking them why live music is important and what they think of the Triangle music scene. We got some pretty great answers. In Triangle Dining; Brian checks out the tasty scene at P.G. Werth's and Christy has a field day with the casual yet super delicious food at Pharoah's American Grill. Russ gets his food truck fix at Bo's Kitchen and travels to the Beer Wonderland at White Rabbit Brewing Company. Jessica finds great swim and beachwear at Whalebone Urban Surf Shop and Linda reports on the growing retail scene in the Person Street neighborhood. Louis travels to the Big Easy to enjoy NC art and Ian tells us a story about local guy named Dallas who helped end the Civil War. Sort of. Jerry gives us some back story on segregation protests and the integration of restaurants in Durham in the 1950s. We hope you enjoy this issue of the Downtowner!
